I'm a Texas-based wedding photographer focused on capturing the elegant details and authentic emotions of Southern love stories.
When I first talk to Lan I knew she was a #PattiDarbyBride. She had such a vision for what she wanted for her engagement photos and it was so much fun to plan with her and see her vision come to life! For the first part of their engagement session Lan wore a traditional Vietnamese wedding dress an Ao Dai. While she isn’t wearing this dress for her actual wedding she wanted to honor her heritage by having it be the centerpiece of the first part of her and Brandon’s engagement session at The Creative Chateau. To tie up the editorial vibe into a nice package I found a peacock style wicker chair and of course some GORGEOUS florals from Bramble & Bee. I may or may not have squealed multiple times while taking their photos…it was so dreamy! We wrapped up their session in Downtown Houston and it was the perfect ending to a perfect session.
I can always get a feel for who is a #PattiDarbyCouple long before we ever meet in person but meeting Lan + Brandon in person was such a sweet reminder of how precious and unique my couples are. Like all of my couples, Lan and Brandon are madly in love! It was so fun watching Brandon out of the corner of my eye while I was taking individual photos of Lan, he was beaming! It’s so evident that he is truly smitten with her and loves her! He was such an amazing cheerleader. Lan is equally as smitten with Brandon! She was taking behind the scenes photos of him and was hyping him up during his individual photos. 🙂
One thing I truly love about these two is how genuinely sweet and kind they are. They have the sweetest hearts (another #PattiDarbyCouple trait)! I also knew we would get along great because we all love to go hiking, love Austin, and most importantly FOOD! lol I can’t wait for their wedding at Deep in the Heart Farms this fall and know it’s going to be amazing!
