I'm a Texas-based wedding photographer focused on capturing the elegant details and authentic emotions of Southern love stories.
I first met Mina and her mom at an Open House at the Inn at Quarry Ridge and we immediately hit it off! I remember talking to her about how she really valued photos that showed emotion and I knew that we would be a great match. As much as I absolutely LOVE epic portraits there’s just something about a photo of people interacting with one another that makes my heart so happy! When I showed up to the Inn at Quarry Ridge to photograph their wedding I starting like I always do with Mina + Robert’s details. I LOVED Mina’s blue heels that she chose to wear with her dress during the ceremony. It reminded me of my own wedding. I wore blue flats for my “something blue”, just like Mina. I also was in heaven with these ADORABLE boutonnières by Just a Busy Lil Bee Floral. I mean how cute are they? Mina also had succulents in her bouquet. All of Mina’s details were so special and truly embodied why I love photographing details on wedding days. She had a hanker-chief as her “something old” from her Grandmother that she had her mother in law pin in with a beautiful pin that was her “something borrowed”. She also wore a beautiful diamond ring that her grandfather bought her grandmother on their diamond anniversary as her “something old”.
Their ceremony was so sweet! Mina looked so beautiful in her simple gown that had some of the most beautiful beading on the back! As I watched her walk towards Robert you could tell she wasn’t the least bit nervous, she was walking to the love of her life. 🙂 I always love watching the groom when the bride first walks out to the ceremony and watching Robert was no different. They were both soaking in the moment! My favorite part from the ceremony was when Robert started to tear up during their wedding vows and Mina yelled out “If someone doesn’t get him crying I’m going to be so mad!” No pressure, right?! lol Don’t worry I got some sweet moments of the two of them and definitely got him tearing up. After they said their personalized vows they wrote for one another it was time to “kiss the bride” and get ready to PARTY! Their party was SO MUCH FUN! It was full of great music and GREAT dance moves. I couldn’t help but watch Mina’s friends Anthony and Melissa dance the night away…they looked like they had just come from Dancing with the Stars. Not to mention Dancing with the Stars again BUT Robert’s uncle was apparently a contestant on Dancing with the Stars and him and his wife were tearing up the floor the whole night. Like I couldn’t stop taking pictures of them, they were so fun to watch. I hope I have that much energy when I get to be in my late 60’s!
It was such a gorgeous wedding and I’m so honored that I was able to be a part of such a joyous celebration! Congratulations Mina + Robert!
