Santa Barbara Sailboat Engagement Session

\\ Santa Barbara Sailboat Engagement Session //

Where do I even begin?

This session was one of those times when I just felt all the things. The excitement and love AND nervousness and butterflies! I had so much fun with Kailey + JJ during their engagement session in Santa Barbara. We started out at Santa Barbara Sailing and hopped aboard the most amazing sailboat. Unfortunately the wind was so strong that we couldn’t leave the harbour BUT we made it work and I’m so stinking excited for how these images came out! I was slightly terrified, not going to lie, because the wind was causing the boat to bounce more than I had mentally prepared for and I don’t know if you’ve every stood on a sailboat weighted down only by two cameras and a couple of cables for support but the nerves and butterflies definitely came out.

While we bounced around on the waves I just stood there breathing in the salty air, listening to the waves crash against the boat and in that moment I just felt at peace. After a year of limited/no travel my soul longed for the adventure. I love that I get to help capture this sweet season in my couples lives and create memories that will last a lifetime.

I love the way that Kailey + JJ  look at each other (without the other knowing); the love just radiates from them. You can tell just by the look on JJ’s face that he adores Kailey. And Kailey eyes light up and she gets the biggest smile across her face. There’s really nothing sweeter than spending an afternoon creating amazing memories with wonderful people!
